The sacred art of A. Rando as a gift to Venice The Master wanted to give the Patriarch of Venice a Eucharistic chalice called Prayer, made of silver and worked according to the ancient lost wax technique. The artist created this sculpture by interpreting the values that bind the city of Venice and its people inhabitants with the most important moment of lagoon life: the Redentore festival. On the chalice-sculpture you can easily see, among the grooves and undulations of the silver, the lines of a human profile and a crucifixion. The solemn object exalts and celebrates the spintual fusion and the direct relationship between man and God, which is expressed through prayer.
