The sacred art of A. Rando as a gift to Venice
The Master wanted to give the Patriarch of Venice a Eucharistic chalice called Prayer,
made of silver and worked according to the ancient technique of lost wax.
The artist has crested this sculpture by interpreting the values that bind the city of Venice and its own
inhabitants with the most important moment of lagoon life: the feast of the Redeemer.
On the chalice-sculpture one can easily guess, between the grooves and undulations of the silver, the lines of
a humorous profile and a crucifixion. The solemn object enhances and celebrates the pushed fusion and the
direct relationship between man and God, which is expressed through prayer.
